When the rain stops

— -NNR- «When the Rain Ends» - is a ballad about human nature, time, and the truth that can never be hidden. When life washes away everything unnecessary, all that remains is the person we have been since our very first breath.

They say people change. Maybe they do. Habits change. Beliefs change. Even names. But one day… When fear finally walks through the door… Everything borrowed falls away. And from the darkness… The only one left is the one who has been waiting inside you All along. … Hear that? Just rain. … Or maybe… Something telling the truth.

Rain keeps washing empty sidewalks clean, But it never reaches The footprints left inside. People hide behind warm windows, As if anyone could hide From themselves. We leave old jobs, old streets, old friends, Old phone numbers. But when the city finally goes quiet… Only one face remains. The one your mirror Has always known.

Rain… Never changes stone. It only washes off the dust. Rain… Never changes hearts. It only reveals what has always been there. When everything else has been washed away… Only the truth remains.

People say time changes us. I don’t believe it. Time only strips away the paint. Fear never creates a coward. It only opens the door to the room where fear has lived all along. And courage… Doesn’t arrive one morning. One day… It simply steps out of hiding.

Rain Takes no sides. It never asks who was right. It falls on churches And on ruins. On children running home. On old men feeding pigeons alone. It washes every mask With the same cold hands… Until nothing remains except The human being underneath.

Maybe… Growing older was never About becoming someone new. Maybe… It’s only watching Every borrowed layer Fall away… Until the stranger In the mirror finally disappears… And the one who was there All along… Takes one quiet breath.

Let it rain… all night. Let it wash away the titles. The lies. The uniforms. The borrowed faces. Because when the clouds finally break… Nothing false can survive The morning. Only… The soul That was always there… Before the world convinced you To become someone else.

Maybe… Rain was never meant To cleanse the world. Maybe… It was only washing away Everything we spent a lifetime Trying to hide. … Don’t fear the storm. Fear… The silence… After it ends. Because that’s the moment You finally meet the one Who never left. … Rain never lies. People do.
